Sebadoh III Just Added Sampler Playlist
I'm no indie rock scholar, but I like me some Sebadoh III. It looks like this album was just remastered, re-released, and added to Rhapsody to mark its 15th anniversary. It includes a second disc of goodies of varying allure, represented here by Gimmie Indie Rock and the oddball Showtape '91.
Of note, As The World Dies The Eyes Of God Grow Bigger is one of my favorite finely-realized modern rock epics, in ranks with Ween's Buenos Tardes Amigo and Beck's Satan Gave Me A Taco. Who has some more examples?

One of my all-time favorite albums!
I've been having fun logging some of my favorite "Showtape '91" intros, like this one:
Battling monumental indifference, sadly overlooked as creatively inferior bands are basically treated like geniuses and receive enormous recording budgets, buns-up to corporate waste-mongers... Sebadoh!
On the 'modern rock epic' front, the first (and most recent) one that comes to mind is "Rubies" by Destroyer. Of course, most of Destroyer's catalogue can be considered epic.
